{"id":2190,"date":"2024-01-20T06:16:01","date_gmt":"2024-01-20T06:16:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medsorbonneuni.com\/?p=2190"},"modified":"2024-01-20T06:16:27","modified_gmt":"2024-01-20T06:16:27","slug":"2190","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medsorbonneuni.com\/?p=2190","title":{"rendered":"Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Sholarship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Sholarship Program<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Last updated: 09 Jan 2024; Open: 15 Jan\/25 Mar 2024<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Japan GOv\u2019t\/World Bank:\u00a0\u00a0 Masters Degree<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deadline: 29 Feb\/ 24 May 2024 (annual)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Study in: selected Countries<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Course starts AY 2024-2025.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Brief description:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Joint Japan\/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ\/WBGSP) is open to women and men from developing countries with relevant professional experience and a history of supporting their countries\u2019 development efforts who are applying to a master degree program in a development-related topic.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Host institutions\/Program of study<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">JJWBGSP offers sholarships for 52 Participating Programs at universities in U.S, Europe, Africa, Oceania and Japan.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Target froup<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Developing country nationals of World Bank Member Countries<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Sholarship value\/inclusions\/duration:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A JJWBGSP scholarship provides tuition, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The scholarships cover the duration of the graduate program or two years, whichever is less.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Eligibility:<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Be a national of a World Bank member country on this list;<\/li>\n<li>Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country;<\/li>\n<li>On or after the date of the call for scholarship applications opens, not be an Executive Director, his\/her alternate, and\/or staff of any type of appointment (including temporary and consultant) of the World Bank Group (International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Development Association, International Finance Corporation, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, and International Center for Settlements of Investment Disputes); or not be a close relative of the aforementioned by blood or adoption with the term \u201cclose relative\u201d defined as: Mother, Father, Sister, Half-sister, Brother, Half-brother, Son, Daughter, Aunt, Uncle, Niece, or Nephew<\/li>\n<li>Hold a Bachelor\u2019s (or equivalent) degree earned at least 3 years prior to the Application Deadline date;<\/li>\n<li>Have 3 years or more of recent development-related work experience after earning a Bachelor\u2019s (or equivalent) degree;<\/li>\n<li>Be employed in development-related work in a paid full- time position at the time of submitting the scholarship application. Have at least 3 years of paid development-related employment since earning a Bachelor\u2019s degree (or equivalent university degree) and acquired within the past 6 years from the date of the Application Deadline.<\/li>\n<li>On or before the Scholarship Application Deadline date, be admitted unconditionally (except for funding) for the upcoming academic year to at least one of the JJ\/WBGSP participating master\u2019s programs located outside of the applicant\u2019s country of citizenship and country of residence listed at the time the call for scholarship applications opens. The letter of admission must be uploaded before submitting your application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><u>Application instructions<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To be considered for a JJ\/WBGSP scholarship, you must first apply and be unconditionally accepted for admissions to at least one of the Participating Programs. In your application, YOU NEED TO UPLOAD AN UNCONDITIONAL LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE from a participating masster\u2019s degree program. Applications are done online once the scholarship opens.
